We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post Placement Services Coordinator to join our team at US COMM FOR REFUGE. In this role, you will provide critical support to our Post Release Services department, working closely with unaccompanied children and their sponsors to ensure a smooth transition to their new lives.

As a Post Placement Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting individualized needs assessments, developing case plans that take into account the child's culture, language, and special circumstances, and maintaining accurate records according to USCRI and ORR policies and procedures.

You will also provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each child receives the services they require, assess the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis, and build a network of local pro bono legal resources and service providers to facilitate access for UC and sponsors.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in social work, a behavioral science, or social services field, with a minimum of two years' progressive experience in the fields listed above. Experience with immigrant populations, child welfare, child placements, family preservation, and social service provision is desired.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, a behavioral science, or social services field
  • Minimum of two years' progressive experience in the fields listed above
  • Experience with immigrant populations, child welfare, child placements, family preservation, and social service provision is desired
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
