Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete clinical history and gather examination data to assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
  • Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed.
  • Observe patient condition and properly evaluate situations when physician intervention is necessary.
  • Verify two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure.
  • Ensure patient's privacy and comfort is accommodated.
  • Organize schedule, time, and priorities to accomplish required activities within designated time frames.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification.

  • Ability to function independently and under pressure while participating in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize appropriately and multitask effectively.
