Job Summary:

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team of compassionate healthcare professionals. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Provide preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment to residents, as well as coordinate care and resident assessment.
  • May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and reliable administration of resident care.
  • Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
