As a valued member of our dynamic team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Cardiothoracic Surgery department.
Responsibilities- Function as the first assistant in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgeries, and cardiac assist device implantation
- Obtain patient history, perform physical examinations, order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Formulate a diagnostic impression, develop and implement a treatment plan, monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
- Counsel and educate patients to meet their needs
- Established level of proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
- Current surgical CV PA's with 2-plus years of surgical experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Strong working relationship between physicians and midlevel practitioners

Serving the community as a county-designated Level II Trauma Center, the 258-bed hospital is one of San Jose's busiest ER's. Regional Hospital holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, as a certified Chest Pain Center, county-designated STEMI receiving center, a lung cancer screening center and is certified in sepsis care by The Joint Commission.
