Key Responsibilities

  • Employs the nursing process to guarantee that patient care is delivered effectively, with a focus on quality and cost-efficiency. Gathers essential social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual information from patients and their families, as well as other healthcare team members.
  • Conducts continuous assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses and objectives, plans suitable interventions, and evaluates the results of those interventions.
  • Diligently documents patient and unit records in accordance with established healthcare standards to meet legal and quality requirements.
  • Provides valuable education and resources to patients and their families, covering topics such as Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall Prevention, Diabetes, Disease Processes, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge Instructions.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the values and goals of the patient, healthcare facility, community, and nursing profession through effective cost management, confidentiality, ethical decision-making, and patient safety.
  • Utilizes evidence-based interventions relevant to the patient population, engages in research activities, identifies research opportunities, and collaborates with Outcomes Managers and departments.
Qualifications

Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing

Licensure and Certifications:
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
