">We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Prisma Health, where we strive to provide exceptional patient care and transform healthcare for the benefit of our communities.
About the Role:
">As a Medical Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting. You will foster patient/family-centered care, demonstrate clinical competency, and incorporate evidence-based practices/research into your work.
Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Collections data and completes nursing assessments using appropriate area-specific standards/policies and tools.">
- Develops individual plans of care based on the age and assessed needs of patients, working collaboratively with the patient and/or family, provider, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.">
- Provides direct care to assigned patients consistent with established nursing plans, performs specific tasks based on organizational, departmental, and unit policies and procedures within the RN scope of practice.">
- Delegates nursing tasks as appropriate to members of the healthcare team, developing written assignments if necessary, and ensures completion of assigned tasks.">
- Maintains a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, cost containment principles, and quality improvement initiatives.">
- Communicates effectively with peers and other healthcare team members through shift-to-shift reports and other forms of communication.">
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">A Strong Foundation in Nursing:
">- ">
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.">
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.">
- One year of experience as a registered nurse or successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency from another organization.">
- In lieu of 1 year of registered nurse experience, 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience may be considered.">

">You will be expected to adhere to all compliance and policy/procedures of the organization, including licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, time and attendance policy, dress code policy, patient confidentiality, infection control, medication administration, and regulatory agency requirements.
