The Highland Rivers Behavioral Health Crisis Stabilization Unit is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. About the Role

• This 24-hour, 365-day short-term medically monitored unit provides psychiatric stabilization and detoxification from drugs and alcohol, serving as a first-line community-based alternative to hospitalization.

Your Responsibilities

• You will complete admission and discharge paperwork, including nursing assessments, and develop nursing care plans for individuals with mental health/substance abuse symptoms.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor individual care, including diet and physical activity, and report concerns to the APRN and CSU Nurse Manager.
• You will transcribe orders, ensure chart checks are completed, and update the BHL board to ensure accurate and complete census.
• Maintain stock of supplies in the department, provide education to individuals and/or family members, facilitate groups and activities on the unit, and assist with service-related compliance.
• Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure/Certification: Georgia License as Registered Nurse Professional.
  • Experience: Knowledge of assessing, planning for, and providing basic nursing skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient/outpatient setting.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
