Augmentative and Alternative Communication Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Augmentative and Alternative Communication Specialist/Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Eastern Carver County Schools.
About the Role:This is a specialized services position that will provide support to students with complex communication needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, as well as speech and language therapy.
Responsibilities:- Provide AAC assessments and recommendations for students
- Develop and implement individualized AAC plans
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Provide speech and language therapy to students
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in AAC and speech and language therapy
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid State of Minnesota License in Speech Language Pathology
- MDE licensed SPED teacher certification
- Experience working with students who require AAC systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
