About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our municipal engineering team at Barry Isett and Associates, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Prepare project proposals, authorization for services, budgets, and reports to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Work Management: Formulate work management/resource management plans and budgets to optimize project efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Approve engineering work, plans, specifications, and estimates prepared in the department to ensure technical adequacy and high-quality engineering.
  • Client Communication: Communicate frequently with clients and project stakeholders to discuss project progress, schedules, deadlines, and problems.
  • Team Management: Participate in presentations to clients, maintain client contacts, and assist in sub-contractor selection.
  • Administrative Support: Cooperate with administrative personnel on reports, specifications, scheduling, and project billing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional Engineer license and Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience in transportation projects, strong organizational, technical, and communication skills, and prior project and client management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to obtain clearances for PA school projects and hosting students for shadow events.
