Job Description

As a Care Professional with Honor, you'll play a key role in our mission by building real, caring relationships and providing kind care that helps our clients stay healthy, safe, and happy at home. You'll be part of a team that's passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

What You'll Do

As an on-call caregiver, you'll be responsible for:
  • Being on-call for a period of 12 hours, from 7am to 7pm on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon or 7pm to 7am on Fri/Sat/Sun.
  • Maintaining a charged phone and responding within 5 minutes of outreach.
  • Being prepared to respond quickly and be ready for the entire on-call shift (dressed, car gassed up, childcare covered).
  • Driving up to 1.5 hours from home as needed.
  • Checking in during on-call time.
  • Fostering relationships with clients through companionship and compassionate caregiving.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Providing personal care services, including assistance with grooming, bathing, restroom use, and managing incontinence.

Requirements

To be a successful Care Professional with Honor, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
  • Be a driver with a personal car.
  • Be skilled in memory care and capable of at least a medium transfer.
  • Adhere to all Honor/Home Instead's policies and procedures.
  • Have a minimum of two professional references.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Have basic English speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
  • Complete any necessary compliance, license, or registration requirements.
  • Use the Honor Care Pro Mobile App and have a device that supports the most up-to-date version of iOS or Android.

Job Type & Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring you to be on-call for 12 hours, from 7am to 7pm on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon or 7pm to 7am on Fri/Sat/Sun.
