Job Summary

Copper Mountain College is seeking a qualified CIS Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. As a CIS Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting assigned classes and supporting the advancement of our college's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes and laboratories, adhering to the published class schedule.
  • Publish and maintain office hours, advising students on course content, scope, and meaning, as well as major course requirements and strategies for achieving published SLOs.
  • Develop and implement instruction that fulfills all course requirements and is consistent with academic and vocational program standards and objectives.
  • Assess and advise students of their progress toward meeting course objectives.
  • Respect student rights as specified in District policy and applicable federal and state laws or regulations.
  • Assign and submit grades by deadline, in accordance with District policy and administrative procedure.
  • Keep official records, collect data, and submit records by deadlines as required by District policy and administrative procedures.
Qualifications

Standards are established in accordance with the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges as adopted by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors for the discipline.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any bachelor's and two years experience
  • OR
  • Any associate's degree and six years experience

Unless otherwise noted, the professional experience required (two years/bachelors or six years/associate) must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.

Compensation

The hourly rate is based on degree:

  • PhD/EdD: $74.36/hour - Lecture. $59.90/hour - Lab.
  • MA/MS: $71.43/hour - Lecture. $57.55/hour - Lab.
  • BA/BS: $68.64/hour - Lecture. $55.28/hour - Lab.
