As a Radiologic Technician, you will deliver patient-centered care, assist in medical procedures, and conduct x-ray examinations for patients in the UMMS Ambulatory Care setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as both a front office and back office clinical team member based on daily assignments, executing all designated duties for the center's operations.
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring accurate registration in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and documenting symptoms in the EMR.
- Maintain proficiency in a comprehensive range of medical assisting skills, including specimen collection, medication administration, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance on medical equipment and ensure cleanliness of examination and procedure areas.
- Handle financial transactions for services rendered.
- Prepare the radiology suite and equipment for patient examinations, ensuring a smooth process for capturing images.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.
- Perform administrative duties such as email correspondence and phone communication.
- Assist in training new team members as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is necessary.
- BLS/CPR Certification is mandatory.
- Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist or Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping capabilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- High work ethic and ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Proficiency in technology, including experience with EMR systems.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations as needed.
