Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design, implementing design and ensuring conformance with applicable codes and standards, and preparing engineering reports and design submittals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for heavy/highway civil construction and structural engineering projects
  • Implement design and ensure conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Prepare and review calculations for analysis along with preparing engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals
  • Prepare working/draft construction drawings
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar from accredited institution and 8 or more years of relevant experience
  • PE license required
  • Proficient in using Structural finite element analysis software tools such as MIDAS or RISA
  • Proficient working knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient working knowledge, understanding, and application of critical industry accepted codes; IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO and AWS
  • Continued professional development for PE License
  • Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
