Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on the 8 North General Med/Oncology Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in a professional practice setting, promoting a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care and health services, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care.
- Participate in department-specific quality initiatives, promoting patient safety and satisfaction.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff, ensuring effective use of resources and expertise.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
- Derive culturally and age-appropriate expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and healthcare providers in the care planning process.
- Accept assignments in areas other than primary unit, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Participate in systematic peer review, seeking feedback and opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Meet time and attendance guidelines, ensuring reliable and consistent delivery of patient care services.
Qualifications
- Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- CPR certification.
- Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
