Sheetmetal Technician Sr Job Description

TEL Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Sheetmetal Technician Sr to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for safely laying out, fabricating, and installing parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use complex schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings to perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Oversee projects and assess requirements to procure necessary materials and documentation.
  • Operate shop equipment, such as brakes, presses, and riveting equipment, to shape and form complex angles and configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Conduct monthly 5S audits and use the material tracking system to create parts demand and track squawks.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Four (4) years of sheet metal and/or fabrication experience.
  • Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
