Job Overview

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team on a contract basis. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing top-notch care to patients in need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, utilizing your expertise and skills to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential complications, and take proactive steps to prevent or mitigate them.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or questions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in ICU nursing.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in an ICU setting, with a strong focus on critical care and patient safety.
  • Valid RN license in the state of Illinois, with the ability to work in the United States.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications, with a strong commitment to maintaining current certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the healthcare team.
