We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Quality Talent Group. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Greet and welcome patients, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
- Diagnostic Assessments: Take and process x-rays, and conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to provide quality care.
- Treatment Planning: Chart conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
- Preventive Care: Apply fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents to prevent dental decay.
- Administrative Tasks: Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, and prepare the hygiene room with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Education and Licensure: Current dental hygienist license in Michigan and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Experience: Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation. Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
- Certifications: CPR Certification.
- Additional Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience, experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Personal Qualities: Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Work Environment: Prolonged periods sitting and standing, ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times, and availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
