We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Psychiatric team at The Medical Center of Aurora. As a Behavioral Health RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with psychiatric illnesses.
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on mental health topics and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- BLS Healthcare provider through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- CPI certification within 3 months of hire and re-certification every year thereafter.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
- One year of acute care and one year of inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
