Pastry Chef Opportunity

AVI Foodsystems, a leading food service company, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our team at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH.

As a Pastry Chef with AVI Foodsystems, you will be responsible for creating a variety of sweet and savory breads, pastries, and desserts that exceed our customers' expectations. You will work closely with our Executive Chef to determine menu offerings and ensure that all products meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new pastry recipes and techniques to improve quality and presentation
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute menu offerings
• Ensure a safe and healthy food preparation environment by following and enforcing preparation standards and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service and accommodate special requests and dietary needs
• Purchase ingredients and evaluate the quality of food product deliveries
• Develop and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Requirements:

• Two or more years of baking experience
• Culinary degree preferred
• Precise eye for detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
