Inpatient Surgical Nurse Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant on our 2nd floor surgical unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our surgical patients. Under the supervision of our experienced Registered Nurses, you will support and assist with daily patient care activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Transport and reposition patients and equipment as needed
- Meet each patient's care needs, including assisting with preparation of the unit and cleaning of patient areas
- Collaborate with other CNAs, RNs, and Charge RNs to provide comprehensive patient care
- Perform routine observation and documentation of ADLs, vital signs, and other patient data
- Assist patients with use of bedpans or commodes, and provide safe patient transfers
- Answer patient call lights and maintain a clean and tidy patient environment
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
- Current CNA licensure in the State of Wisconsin
- BLS certification required upon hire
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
