Job Title: Behavioral Health Team Clinician

Endeavor Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Team Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Team, you will work closely with local police departments to provide community-based interventions, assessments, and linkage to services and crisis outreach.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and maintain contact with therapists, case managers, and other treatment providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Timely and accurate recordkeeping to track progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate safe and effective transportation of individuals to appropriate diversion sites.
  • Assist police response at calls involving mental health crises and/or substance abuse.
  • Assist in developing and participating in police department trainings to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
  • Review calls for service and arrests to identify candidates for additional follow-up.
  • Advocate for a treatment-focused approach within the local Justice Court system.
  • Assist with the Overdose Prevention Through Follow-Up collaboration with the Erie County DOH.
  • Consult with concerned family members and provide education on mental health and substance abuse concerns.
  • Develop crisis response plans to assist officers with residents who frequently utilize emergency services.
  • Will be cross-trained in other BHT areas.
Qualifications:
  • LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC-P, LMHC, and one year of experience working in crisis intervention.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with a law enforcement organization preferred.
  • NYS Dept. of Criminal Justice Police Mental Health Instructor Certification preferred.
