Locums Trauma Surgery Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Surgery Physician to provide weekend call coverage at our Level II trauma center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for covering trauma and general surgery call coverage over the weekend, from Friday evening through Sunday. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring timely and effective care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cover trauma and general surgery call coverage over the weekend, from Friday evening through Sunday
• Round on all admitted patients for Trauma Services and Acute Care Surgery Services, typically from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday
• Respond to all Code 1 trauma activations within 15 minutes, ensuring timely and effective care for our patients
Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
• ACLS Certification
• Experience with EPIC and Dragon documentation systems is essential
• A current Michigan medical license is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license
