The Engineering team at DLR Group has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mechanical system designs that meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, narratives, and design calculations to support project deliverables.
  • Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a MEP firm working on commercial/public projects.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection building systems on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
  • Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
  • Energy modeling experience in both Trace 700 and IESVE.
  • Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
