Job Responsibilities:
The Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician will be responsible for supporting the Splicer in various tasks, including terminating, splicing, and bonding/grounding fiber optic cables, as well as installing Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) into customer houses. This role also involves documenting and testing all fiber optic cables within our systems' fiber optic networks and their related equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Additionally, the technician will operate mini excavators and other equipment on project job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Splicer in all daily activities.
  2. Perform tasks such as splicing fiber optic cables, troubleshooting signal problems, and maintaining equipment.
  3. Operate technical and heavy equipment, including mini excavators.
  4. Read and interpret work prints and splice diagrams.
  5. Become familiar with digging plans, machine capabilities and limitations, and efficient and safe digging procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Clean and Valid Driver's License
  • Proficiency with hand tools
  • Knowledge preferred but will train the right candidate
  • 1-2 years' experience operating heavy machines
  • Experience in shoot/cut grade

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer related experience in a start-up environment
  • Prefer related work experience in a Fiber Optic installation operation position
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
