About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Deputy Project Manager to join our team in the Transportation Market Sector. As a key contributor to our organization, you will be responsible for assisting the project manager with overall project management, including limited access facilities in Florida.

As a Deputy Project Manager, you will be involved in conducting engineering investigations, preparing reports, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for calculating costs, determining feasibility, and updating schedules to advance projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in transportation design, including roadway, drainage, traffic, or structures, and be willing to learn project management skills. You will also need to have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to forge strong relationships with clients, professionals, and team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the project manager with overall project management, including limited access facilities in Florida.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and prepare reports by completing well-defined tasks, including data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare or direct preparation and modification of plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects.
  • Calculate costs and determine feasibility based on collected data.
  • Update schedules to advance projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Professional Registration with 7 - 15+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation.
  • Experience designing capacity projects for FDOT and/or tolling authorities such as Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, THEA, CFX, etc.

Salary Estimate: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
