Life Skills Coach Grass Valley

New Start SLS is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Skills Coach to join our team in Grass Valley. As a Life Skills Coach, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily skills and activities, such as menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and using public transportation.
- Document daily charting notes and report any issues or concerns to the New Start Case Manager.
- Attend in-service training sessions and continued education when offered.
- Assist with special events or projects, and provide in-home and community-based assistance to consumers according to individual service programs.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in supportive living services, caregiving, education, mentoring, coaching, or working/volunteering with individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English, and have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Must provide proof of current CPR + First Aid certification or be willing to become certified prior to starting employment.
- Must be able to pass a DOJ Live Scan Fingerprint Background Check, and show evidence of a negative TB test & clear physical within 90 days of hire.
