Pediatric Hospitalist Nocturnist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist and Advanced Practice Professional to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage comprehensive and individualized care for pediatric hospitalist and emergency medicine patients and their families in the inpatient phase of hospitalization and immediate post-discharge in the ambulatory setting.
- Complete daily rounds, consults, and pre-procedure/evaluations.
- Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests following established clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
- Consult and communicate with clinic and hospital staff regarding abnormal findings in patient evaluations.
- Develop a comprehensive individualized plan of care for pediatric hospitalist patients, which includes teaching, medication reconciliation, discharge planning, and necessary referral to other members of the healthcare team as necessary.
- Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- American Heart Association ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certification required.
- Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) Certification required immediately upon hire (based on class availability).
- Pediatric and/or acute care experience preferred.
- NRP preferred.
