MRI Technologist Job Summary

As a key member of our team at the University of California, the MRI Technologist will play a vital role in performing complex MR imaging procedures and post-processing responsibilities. This position requires a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procedures performed
  • Operate various post-processing/3D workstations
  • Perform accurate image archival and prepare paramagnetic contrast media
  • Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of patients
Requirements:
  • ARRT, CRT - required
  • MR certificate required
  • ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required
  • Venipuncture certificate - required
  • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
  • Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required
  • AA or BS - preferred
  • At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred
  • Siemens experience - preferred
  • Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
  • Ability to identify contraindications for exams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and independent decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
