About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Life-Saving Healthcare Professional to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a member of our blood collection staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of lifesaving blood donations.

Responsibilities
  • Taking the time to personally connect with donors – listening to their stories and helping them understand how impactful their donation is.
  • Collaborating with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again.
  • Being detail-oriented all day, every day, ensuring that the blood you collect meets goals, regulatory requirements, and can be safely transfused.
What You Need to Succeed
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LPN/RN licensure.
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation, including a starting rate of $20.32 per hour for entry-level candidates, $24.57 per hour for LPN-licensed candidates, and $28.39 per hour for RN-licensed candidates.
