We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Older Adult Behavioral Health team at UnityPoint Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Participate in patient and family education, using evidence-based practices to promote health and wellness.
- Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of patient care, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Support the goals and objectives of the patient care team, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Experience in dementia care, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
