Job Opportunity

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time adjunct instructor for the Dental Hygiene Program. This position requires evaluating student progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes for the Dental Hygiene program.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach students in the Dental Hygiene Program
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) requirements
  • Maintain accurate student records and attendance
  • Evaluate student progress in competency areas and attainment of goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain teaching methods and management procedures
  • Collaborate with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs and student progress
  • Ensure a safe and secure learning environment
  • Maintain program certification requirements
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Maintain ethical standards, including confidentiality, honesty, and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA standards
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and staff
  • Effective observation, supervision, and evaluation skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Blackboard
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA-accredited dental hygiene school
  • Registered Dental Hygienist with a current Georgia license or teaching license from the Georgia Board of Dentistry
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR/AED)
  • Proficiency in current computer technology
