Job Summary

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the public areas of the hotel. This includes cleaning and setting up meeting rooms, delivering service items to guest rooms, and driving shuttle vans when needed. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field. They must also have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain public areas, including floors, carpets, and furniture
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture as needed
  • Clean public restrooms and ensure maintenance on a regular basis
  • Handle requests for luggage assistance at check-in and check-out
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow associates, and self
  • Handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to hotel standards
  • Turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping or Front Office at the end of the shift
  • Complete daily assignment checklists and submit to supervisor at the end of the day
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
