Aviation Instructor

Join Sandhills Community College as an Aviation Instructor and contribute to the education and development of the next generation of aviation professionals.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Aviation Instructor to teach related courses such as Air Navigation, Aviation Meteorology, and History of Aviation. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission of community colleges and excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Prepare and teach assigned courses, ensuring that course content is up-to-date, relevant, accurate, and consistent with state and national accreditation standards.
• Maintain records for each course taught and submit all college reports in a timely fashion.
• Assist in student retention and establish and maintain a positive working relationship with students, faculty, and staff.
• Keep up to date on discipline-specific technology and instructional technologies.
• Teach courses at assigned times and locations, including day, evening, or weekend classes.

• Must hold an Associate degree in Aviation or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Possess a strong commitment to the mission of community colleges.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
