Job Summary:

As a Dining Services Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a medium to large volume dining location, ensuring exceptional customer service and quality food. You will be responsible for managing a team of food service professionals, maintaining interdepartmental relations, and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dining services operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional service.
  • Assist with profit and loss management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create menus and ensure top-quality food.
  • Ensure sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities meet company standards.
  • Assist with the rollout of new culinary programs and quarterly reports for client presentation.
  • Communicate with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company's vision.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Strong communication, financial, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
