Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Recreation Operations Manager to join our team at the City of Reno. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various operations, services, and activities of an assigned recreation program, including implementing program goals and objectives, supervising part-time and seasonal staff, and performing administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Recreation Operations Manager include:

  • Coordinating and directing assigned recreation programs
  • Assisting in the coordination and promotion of City-sponsored events
  • Developing, coordinating, organizing, and conducting assigned recreation programs, activities, events, or classes in assigned area
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Three years of increasingly responsible experience supporting the activities and operations of a recreation program, including one year of administrative responsibility
  • Possession of a valid driver's license

You must also have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
