About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to join our team at Coloscapes Concrete Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion of jobs in a timely manner, ensuring equipment and materials are sufficient, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and mentor laborers, form setters, finishers, and equipment operators
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks to ensure OSHA and company compliance standards
  • Determine required safety procedures based on job site conditions and materials encountered
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and efficiently by the crew to maintain job budgets
  • Effectively identify concrete mixes and determine required equipment and procedures to achieve desired finish and performance results
  • Work with the designated Safety Crew Member to ensure Jobs Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms are completed daily
  • Calculate material quantities and verify the completion of pre-pour and post-pour checklists
  • Communicate equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Collect and verify accuracy of receipts from deliveries or purchases
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles
  • Understand project plans and specifications
  • Manage field operations to minimize overtime and communicate when overtime is required to the team
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position or industry or demonstrated exceptional job performance and leadership skills
  • ACI Finisher certification
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification
  • Forklift Operator certification
  • Skid Steer Operator certification
