Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and organize the work of the team to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Monitor, assess, and prioritize workflow to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Develop and implement new policies, procedures, and protocols to improve laboratory efficiency and quality.
- Train and assess the competency of co-workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient completion of instrument maintenance, quality control, and records management.
- Serve as a liaison between the laboratory manager and staff, physicians, patients, and other hospital staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform all duties of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, including routine specimen collection, preparation, testing, and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a related science.
- CLSL licensure and 8 years of recent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and technical competence in laboratory operations, quality assurance, and workflow management.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and recognition to peers, reinforcing Sutter's values and focusing the team's efforts on providing safe, reliable care.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and assigned tasks for self and team, completing work within expected timeframes.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service is essential.
