ESG and SEC Reporting Manager - Manufacturing

Michael Page is seeking an experienced ESG and SEC Reporting Manager to join our team in a Manufacturing company. This unique role requires a strong understanding of Accounting and ESG/Sustainability principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the assessment of materiality for ESG data reporting and collaborate with the Corporate Sustainability function to ensure sustainability data disclosures follow leading reporting standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with the Corporate Sustainability team and operating companies to ensure the integrity of publicly disclosed sustainability data.
  • Prepare ESG-related disclosures, including those required by the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Develop ESG metrics, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with financial and operational performance.
  • Partner with finance and legal teams to integrate ESG information into financial reporting, including 10-K, 10-Q, and other filings.
  • Ensure company adherence to ESG-related accounting standards and reporting practices.
  • Conduct materiality assessments and ensure ESG risks and opportunities are accurately reflected in financial and non-financial disclosures.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior management, board meetings, and investor updates on the company's ESG performance.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data across the organization.
  • Develop and implement systems and controls to improve data accuracy and reporting processes.
  • Partner with internal audit and finance teams to ensure the ESG reporting process aligns with internal control and audit standards.
Requirements:
  • ~5-10+ years of experience with a mixture between Audit/Accounting and ESG/Sustainability
  • ~ Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability or a related field.
  • ~ Public Accounting (Big 4) experience in either an Audit or ESG Consulting role.
  • ~ A working knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, ESG regulations, reporting frameworks/strategies, SEC rules/regulations, and financial reporting.
  • ~ Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to various stakeholders.
  • ~ Experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other regulatory reporting.
  • ~ Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, including carbon accounting, climate risk analysis, and social responsibility programs.
