Job Overview

The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service during events and gatherings. This position requires a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain availability for a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support the operational needs of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage safety standards as per hotel and brand specifications.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements.
  • Process and deliver guests' beverage orders, utilizing effective selling techniques as per event requirements.
  • Serve food courses and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs promptly, ensuring positive interactions at all times.
  • Possess knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions to accurately address guest inquiries.
  • Address guest complaints effectively to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in banquet service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Completion of food safety training (e.g., ServSafe) is desirable.
  • Alcohol service training (e.g., TIPS) is beneficial.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with local attractions suitable for guests is a plus.
