Camp Custodian

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Camp Custodian to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Western Territory. As a key member of our Housekeeping Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our camp facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an updated inventory of cleaning supplies and order additional as needed.
• Ensure that all assigned housekeeping areas are cleaned to a high standard, presenting a constant image of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of linens and other essential supplies.
• Prepare guest facilities for visiting staff or guests, including washing linens, making beds, and cleaning bathrooms and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and recyclables throughout the camp, both inside and out.
• Visit guest housing each morning to ensure all needs are met and provide assistance as required.
• Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the camp.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. The ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
2. The ability to grasp, push, pull objects and tools, and lift up to 40lbs.
