Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Peco Foods, Inc. as a Hatchery Transportation Driver. This role is responsible for safely transporting materials to and from our hatchery locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Drive a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
  • Logistics: Maintain accurate truck logs, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisors to receive delivery instructions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including daily pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Operational Support: Assist the hatchery with operational duties, ensuring an efficient production schedule.
  • Image Representation: Maintain a positive image of Peco Foods, Inc. by keeping trucks clean and well-maintained.
  • Qualifications: Possess a valid Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times. A valid DOT physical is also required.
