In this critical role, you will complete patient care documentation, maintain safety standards, and ensure competency in emergency care processes. To succeed in this position, you should have experience in critical care settings and relevant certifications to guarantee excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

">
  • Provide advanced life support care during air transportation of patients to medical facilities.
  • Complete patient care documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure competency in emergency care processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and EMS representatives to provide seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to stay current with industry developments.
  • Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Develop positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
  • Function as a medical flight member and attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing sessions.
  • Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance when necessary.
  • Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
  • Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting.
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
  • NREMT-P certification in state(s) where required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
