Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Development: Build and maintain a positive work environment, foster outstanding teamwork, and develop a high-performing team.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service, respond promptly to customer needs, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs.
- Operations and Sales: Monitor and achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with department leaders and vendors.
- Performance Management: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members, provide timely and thorough performance evaluations, and make hiring and separation decisions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain awareness of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations, and maintain Food Safety certification.
- 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
- Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
- Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 50 pounds, and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
