As a Machinist in the Army National Guard, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining complex machinery and equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Operate various machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, and grinders
- Measure and inspect workpieces using precision tools and instruments
- Study blueprints and technical drawings to understand complex machinery and equipment
- Cut and shape metal stock using various tools and techniques
- Assemble and repair complex machinery and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements
