We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Naturalist to join our team at Schramm Education Center/Schramm Park State Recreation Area. As a Naturalist, you will assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering education programs for park visitors and field trip groups. Your passion for sharing nature with others and teaching scientific concepts will make you an excellent fit for this role.

• Assist in the development and delivery of education programs for park visitors and field trip groups
• Interact with and offer interpretive programs for park visitors in the Education Center and Schramm Park SRA
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of Education Center facilities and daily animal care
• Perform customer service activities, such as answering phones and responding to inquiries
• Perform related work as required

• Experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, or historical setting, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training or experience
• Knowledge of Nebraska plant and animal species, natural resources, and outdoor recreation activities
• Basic science and ecological principles, animal care, and safe work procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and provide excellent customer service
