Celebrations Director

TerraBella Pheasant Ridge seeks a talented Celebrations Director to lead our community engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote resident health, wellbeing, engagement, and growth.

In this exciting position, you will oversee the planning and coordination of lifestyle programs, including holiday events and special activities. You will also recruit and develop resources to support residents, initiate public relations communications, and advise on individual and group activities.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, or Adult Education, with three to five years of related experience and two years of supervisory/management experience.

1. Plan, schedule, and conduct lifestyle programs to provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
2. Coordinate holiday events and special activities.
3. Recruit and develop additional resources for services to residents.
4. Initiate public relations communications with outside organizations, service groups, and volunteers.
5. Advise residents on individual and group activities based on resident interests and opportunities for growth.
6. Prepare and organize a calendar of events.
7. Develop and print the community newsletter.
8. Provide leadership for lifestyle program.
9. Coordinate the community library.
10. Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies within budget guidelines.
11. Prepare preliminary draft of Celebrations Operating Budget.
12. Organize and supervise a volunteer staff.
13. Maintain a database and prepare reports on resident quality assurance assessments, participation, and satisfaction.
14. Supervise staff of Recreation and Event Coordinators across multiple levels of service in a retirement community.
