Job Overview
Educational Life Consultant

As an Educational Life Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting undergraduate students as they navigate their university experience. This position involves providing personalized, comprehensive assistance that encompasses academic advising, educational support, and essential life skills development, including career planning, health management, and financial literacy.

In this role, you will assess students' individual needs, aspirations, and backgrounds to guide them in making informed decisions that contribute to their academic success. You will be responsible for closely monitoring a specific group of students identified as having potential challenges, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive in their educational journey.
Required Qualifications
A Master's degree is essential, along with a minimum of two years of experience in higher education advising, academic support services, or related fields. A successful background check is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with undergraduate students in a higher education setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants should possess a thorough understanding of university policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to manage detailed tasks, handle interruptions, and maintain confidentiality regarding student records. Proficiency in information technology, including database management and Microsoft Office applications, is required. The ability to motivate both traditional and nontraditional students is essential. Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and travel for conferences may be necessary.
