Overview

Responsibilities
  • Review incoming plans, drawings, and specifications to identify opportunities and produce precise quotations for MPI.
  • Measure and track quotations for general contract review.
  • Provide and communicate estimations and modifications across McWane divisions and facilities to meet customer and deadline demands.
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints, develop a takeoff of products in estimations to produce a quote.
  • Specification review and interpretation to provide accurate quote.
  • Takeoff of available products.
  • Creation of quote.
  • Communication with Regional Sales Managers and reps to produce quotation.
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors to get actuation costs for producing valve quotes where required.
  • Communicating with painting vendors on special paints or with accessory vendors.
Requirements
  • Associates degree, preferably in a business, engineering, estimation, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Project management experience and project management software skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools.
  • Detail oriented, adept at reading documents and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license with no major violations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Mechanical aptitude or engineering background.
  • Must be a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous estimating experience in the wastewater industry.
  • Experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools.
  • Experience with legal contracts and interface with legal teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM software tools to manage, track, and measure quotation activities.
