Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Unit at Spaulding Hospital - Boston and Cambridge. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and accurate nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide direct patient care, administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families on disease management and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain current certifications and competencies, staying up-to-date on the latest clinical developments and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in pediatric nursing.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and experience working in a pediatric setting.
Skills and Certifications
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications, with the ability to learn new software and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
