Northrop Grumman is a leading provider of innovative solutions to the defense and aerospace industries. We are currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Roy, Utah.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will serve as the lead manufacturing engineer on the Launch Support System team. Responsibilities include creating product release documents, manufacturing bills of materials, work instructions, and other supporting documentation. The successful candidate will also work with the global supply chain to drive material procurement and assist in peer reviews of design releases to ensure first-time quality.

About the Role
  • Author and create Product Release Documents (PRD), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Work Instructions, PPP, & BTP packages.
  • Work with and coordinate with Global Supply Chain to move installation packages and related engineering documents through process flow to drive material procurement.
  • Assist in peer reviews of design releases to ensure first-time quality.
  • Interface with cross-functional internal & external teams and stakeholders critical to system deployment and installation.
  • Oversee and track progress in an agile-based work environment.
  • Author and assist in the creation of comprehensive & detailed work instructions for multiple system locations supporting system deployment and success.
What You'll Get To Do

This role offers a competitive salary range of $107,800 - $161,800. As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you will be eligible for our robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, educational assistance, life insurance, employee assistance programs, paid time off, and health & wellness resources.

This position standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Requirements
  • 8 Years of experience with a Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with a Masters; 4 Years with a PhD. 4 Years of relevant experience may be used in addition in lieu of formal degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Excellent understanding & knowledge of engineering releases & supporting documentation needed for material procurement.
  • Experience authoring/peer reviewing comprehensive and detailed work instructions.
  • Proficient using MES, Rose, CPLM, NX, or other related tool suites supporting manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding and experience with both mechanical & electrical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Model Based Manufacturing digital environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project).
